Road Ready now offers access to the breakthrough commercial insurance-by-the-mile program from Canal Insurance Company
Starting and running a trucking business can be complex, but getting trucking insurance is not thanks to the Canal Test Drive program. This “insurance by the mile” program features a telematics device powered by Samsara, a leader in trucking technology solutions. Simply install the device in your truck and only the miles driven are reported electronically on a monthly basis to calculate an accurate insurance cost based on real usage. The cost for the telematics device is covered by Canal as long as you are participating in the Canal Test Drive program. Canal Test Drive program participants are also able to add trucks during the first year of their policy (Not to exceed more than 4 trucks).
In order to participate you must meet the following criteria:
- LESS THAN TWO YEARS IN BUSINESS
- TRUCKING OPERATIONS WITH A DOT NUMBER
- OPERATING UP TO 4 TRUCKS IN THE UNITED STATES
- CLASS A CDL DRIVER WITH 2 YEARS OF COMMERCIAL DRIVING EXPERIENCE
- RADIUS OF 500+ MILES OPERATING RANGE
- TRUCK MODEL YEAR 2000 OR NEWER
